Phoenix Rising has a rather unconventional approach to education with an eye towards experiential learning. Instead of specific grade levels, children are grouped into multi-aged “houses” which comprise K-2nd; 3rd-5th; and 6th – 8th. In these groups, teachers are considered facilitators rather than instructors. State educational standards are used as benchmarks for learning objectives while allowing students to set their own personal education goals and work towards achieving them.
About 50% of learning takes place outside the classroom in nature. Students are encouraged to explore their world and engage in hands-on activities that reinforce the classroom concepts they are studying.
The Phoenix Rising School is in its second year in operation, and this year they will be going to a year-round school schedule with longer breaks given throughout the year. Currently the school covers grades pre-k through 8th.

She has an APPARENT wealth of knowledge from her experience and was extremely proactive and diligent in helping us navigate the home buying process (one of which was a tedious short sale). I've also referred several friends to Vicki who all ended up buying with her help and they had nothing but good things to say. if you need an excellent, patient and pleasant realtor then you need Vicki.""
